WHERF9S, Chapter 1 of Division 13 of the Agricultural
Code of the State of California provides that the Board o~ Super-
visors may establish reasonable fees to cover the cost of certifying
colony strength for bees used in pollination of agricultural crops, and
WHEREAS, the county agricu~.tural commissioner or other
person designated by the commissioner is authorized to inspect and
certify strength of bee col.onies used for pollination, and
WHEREAS, a system for the certification of colony strength
of bees used in poliination of agricultural crops has been estab-
lished, and
WHEREAS, there is a need for this type of inspection and
~he inspeetion wi11 be made only at the request o£ ~.he beekeeper
or:grower.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, by the Board of Super-
visors of Butte County that ~he coanty agricultural Coznmissioner is
authorized to establish from time to time, a schedule of fees to
cover the cost for such inspection and certification and to charge
and ~o1iE~~ such fees from the person or persons requesting t.~is
service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board o~ Supervisors
authorizes the agricultural commissioner to estabJ,ish and amend
Policy and Procedures for implementation of this cert~.fication
program.
