ORDER AND RESOLUTION OF TI-~E BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY
OF BUTTE, PROVIDING FOR TI~E CONSOZIDATTON OF THE BU~TE
COMM[7NITY COLLEGE DISTRICT BOND ELECTTON WITH THE S'TATE
OF CALIFORNIA CONSOLIDATED PRIMARY ELECTTON TO BE HELD

WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the Butte Community College
District has passed a resolution calling a special school district bond
election to be held on Tuesday, June 6, 1972, in the said district,
and has requested the Board of Supervisors of Butte County to consent
to the consolidation of the said speciaJ. distric~. bond election with
the consol.idated primary election to be held o,n Tuesday, June 6, 1972.
NOW, THIIZEFORE, BE IT ORAERED AND RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County o~ Butte, State of Calitornia, as follows:
Section 1. That the special school bond election to be held
rn the But~e Community College District on Tuesday, ,Tune 6, 1972, at
which bond electian shall be submitted to the qcialified el.ectors of
said district the following measure, to wit:

Shall the Butte Community College District of . .
Butte County incur a bonded indebtedness of $7,000,000 to .
bear interest at the rate of not to exceed 7% per annum for :

shall be and the same is hereby eonsolidated with the State of Ca1if-
arnia Consol.idated Primary Election to be held on June 6, 1972.
Section 2. That ttce County Clerk of Butte County is hereby
ordered and directed to provide within said territory affected by
said consolidatian the election precincts, polling places and voting
booths for each of said elections hereby consolidated, which in each
case shall be the same, and there sha11 be only one set of election
officers in each of the precincts for both of said elections. Said
County Glerk is further ordered and directed to set foarth a.n each`
form of ballot to be used at said special school district bond election
and cansolidated primary elect~.on wirhin said territory affected by
said consolidation sai.d measure of incurring bonded indebtedness in
the form thereof set forth zn Section I of this resalutiono Said
County Clerk i.s further ordered and directed (T) to set forth on all

sample ballots relatxng to said Consolidated Primary Election and to
be mailed to the qualified electors of said district in said territory
~ffected by said consolidation said measure of incurring bonded
indebtedness set forth in Section 1 of this Resolution, and to mail
to said qualified electors of Distric~ in said territory said sample
ballots and also polling place cards signed by said County Clerk ,
relatzng to said speCial school district bond election and a tax rate
statement, analysis and arguments and rebuttal arguments (if any}, a11
in the time and in the forn~ reqaired by Iaw, and (II) to provide a•.bsent
voter ballots for said Consolidation Primary Election and said special
school district bond election consolidated therewi~h for use by qualified
electors of said di.strict in said territory affected by said conso~ida-
tion who may be enti~Ied thereto, in th.e manner provided by lawo
Provided, however, ~ehat the sample ballots mailed to the quali£ied
electors of precinet numbers 1039.1 and 1036 which are within the
County of Butte but not within the Butte Commun.ity College District
shall not include th.e said measure of incurring bonded indebtedness
or tt~e tax ra~e statement, analysis and arguments and rebuttal arguments
(if any) relating thereto.
Section 3. That the County C1erk of Butte County sha11
canvass or cause to be canvassed the returns of said special school
district bond election with respect to the votes cast for and against
said measu.re for incurring bonded indebtedness and sha11 certify such
canvass of the votes cast tor and against said measure of incurring
bonded indebtedness to the Governing B oard of ~he Butte Community
College District.
Section 4, That the County Clerlc is further authoxized
to charge to the Butte Community College District the additional
expenses of printing upon the sample and official ballots for use in
said territory said measure for incurring bonded indebtedness to be
submitted to the qualified electors of the Butte Community Gollege
District, and such other incidental expenses.

BUTTE COUNTY TQ PROVIDE FOR CONSOLIDATION OF R SPECIAL
SCHOOL DISTRICT BOND ELECTION WITH THE STATE QF
CALIFORNIA DIRECT PRIMRRY ELECTION TQ BE HELD
JUNE 6, 1972
WNEREAS, the Governing Board of Butte Community College
District has heretofore du1y passed a reso7ution calling a special
school district bond election to be held on Tuesday, June 6, 1972, in
sa~d district, at which wi11 be submitted to the qualified electors of
sai'd district a measure for incurring bonded indebtedness of said district
in the amoun~ and for the purpoSes hereinafter set forth; and,
WHEREAS, the State of California Direct Primary Election
will be i~eld fn Butte County and throughout the Sta~e of California, on
June 6, 1972, and it is the desire of said Governing Board that said
special school district bond election be consolidated with said Direct
Primary Election;
NOW, 7HEREFORE, BE IT RESQLVED by the Governing Board of
Butte Community College, as folloUrs:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Butte County is
; I~ereby requested to consent to and the County Superin~endent of Schools
o~ Butte County is hereby requested to order the cansolidation of the
said school district bond election with the Direct Primary Election to be
held on Tuesday, June 6, 1972, at which bond election sha11 be submitted
to the qualified e1ectors of said district the following measure; to wit:

S~C7ION 2. Sa~d Board of Supervisors is further requested
to prov~de that within ~he territory affected by said order of
consolidation the election precincts, po11ing p7aces and voting booths,
shall, in every case, be the same and there shall be only one set of
election officers in each of the precincts for both of said elec~ions and
that said measure of incurring bonded indebtedness shall be set forth in
each form of ballot to be used a~ said Direct Primary Election insofar as
the same is held within said territory affected by said consolidation.
SECTION 3. Said Board of Supervisors is further reques~ed
to cause to be printed upon each of the balTots to be used at said
consolidatedsschool d9strict bond election and Direct Primary E~ection,
t~ithin said territory affected by said consolidation, including absent
voter ballots, said Bond Measure ~n the form thereof set forth in 5ection 1
of this resolution. Said Board of Supervisors is further requested to
order the County Clerk of said County (1) to set forth on all sample
baltots relating to said tiirect Primary ~iection and to be mailed to the
qualified eTectors of said distric~ in said territory affected by said
consolidation said Bond Measure set forth in this resolution and to mail to
said qualified e7ectors of said dis~rict in said territory said sample
ba17ots and also polling place cards signed by such County Clerk relating
to said special school district bond election in the time and in the form
required by law, and (2) to provide absent voter ballots for said Direct
Primary Election and said special school district band election consolidated
therewith for use by qualified electors of said district in said territory
affected by said consolidation who may be enti~led thereto, in ~he manner
provided by law.
SECTION 4. Said Board of Supervisors is hereby further
authorized to canvass or cause to be canVassed the return o~ said special
school district bond e~ection with respect to the votes cast on said Bond
Measure in said territory affected by said consolidation, and to certify
such canvass of tfle votes cast for and against said Bond hteasure to this
Governing Board.

SECTION 5. The Clerk o~ tnis Governing Board is here~y
authorized and direc~ed ~o certify to the due adoption of this resolution
and to transmit a copy thereof sa cert~fied ~o the County Clerk of Butte
County and to the Board of Supervisors of said County and to the County
Superintendent of Schools.
