RESOLUTION AMENDING DESIGNATED FACILITI~S AND
PIl2SONNEL PURSUANT TO LANTERMQ,N,P~TRIS~SHORT ACT
WHERE,AS, this Board passed Resolution Na. 69-68 on Apri1 8,
1969, whi.ch Resolution designated facilities and personnel pursuant
to the Lanterman~Petris-Short Act, and
WHEREAS, this Board wishes to amend a certain provision in
said Resolution.
NOW, Ti~EREF`ORE, BE ~T RESOLVED by this Board:
1. Tha~. paragraph 2 of said Resolu~ion 69-68 is hereby
amended to read as fo1.I.ows:
"2. All phy.sicians practicing medicine at the Butte
County Hospital, a11 psychiatrfsts practicing in the Butte County
Mental Health Clinic and the public guardian of Butte County are
hereby designated as prof essional persons who may take, or cause to
be taken, into custody persons who are a danger to others, to them-
selves, or are gravely disabled as a result of inental disorders,
pursuant to 47elfare and Tnstitutions Code §5150.°~
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Sutte County Board of Supervisors
