WrARRANTS TO 1t~PLACE WARRANTS VOIDED UNDER TERMS ADID
C4ND~TIONS OF GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 29802

WHEREAS, Government Code Section 29802 provides that
any warrant issued is void if not presented to the Cov.nty Treasurer
for paymen~. within six month.s after its date, and
WHEREAS, the payee,or assignee, of any warrant that is
voided pursuant to Govexnment Code Section 29802 may present sucli
warrant, or an aff~.davit deciaring that such warrant has been
lost or destroyed, to the governing body of the agency on which
it was drawn and request that a new warrant, in the same amount as
the originaJ. warrant, be drawn in favor of the payee, and
WE~~R~AS, the governing body of such agency may adopt an
order instructing the Coun.ty Auditor to draw a new warrant in
~avor o~ the payee, or may by resalution authorize the County Auditor
to issue new warrants, within the Iimitations o~ Government Code
Section 29802 and rhe resolution, without prior in.dividual order
of the governing body;
NOW 'TEi~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, that the County Auditor
is authorized to draw new warrants to replace warrants, voided
pursuant to Government Code Section 29802, without prior individual
order of the Board of Supervisors, provided the terms, conditions and
limitations o~ Government Code Section 29842 have been complied
with.
