RESOLUTION OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO FORM A COMMUNITY
SERVZCE DISTRZCT, TO BE KNOti~N AS THE LIME SADDLE
COMNNNTTY SERVICE DISTRICT.
~dHEREAS, the Board af Supervisors has received a petitiom
from ten per cent of the registere@ voters who reside within the
boundaries af the proposed Lfine 5add~e Community 5ervice District
as described withina.
WHEREAS, the Butte County Local Agency Format~on
Commission duly approved ~.id formation at its r~gular April 5,
1972 meeting.
4JHEREAS, said proposed district is described in Exhibi~ A
at~ached hereto incorporated herein as if set forth in ~ull
and is shown on a plat which is attached hereto as Exhibit B, and
incorporated herein as if set forth zn fu1L.

I. That the hearfng on said petitinn sha~l be held before this
Board an May 23, 1972, ~972 at 1:30 p.m., in the Supervisors'
Chambers, Courthouse, Oroville, Ca~ifornia.-
2, Notice of the aforesaifl hearing shall be published pursuant
to Section 6066 of the Government Cflde.
3. The purposes of the District to be formed are as follows:
(a) To supply the inhabitants of the district with wat~r ~or
domestic use, irrigation, sanitation, industriaZ use, fire
p~otection, and recreation.
(b) The collection, ~reatment or disposal of sewage, waste and
storm water of the distr~ct and its inhabitants.
(c) The collection and disposal of garbage or refuse ~atter.
(d} Protection against fireo
(e) Public r~creatian by means of parks, including bu~ not
limited to aquatie parks, and recreational harbors, play-.
grounds, golf courses, swimming pools or recreation
buildings.
(f) Street lightingo
(g) The equipment and main~enance of a police department or
other police protection to protect and safeguaxd lffe
and propertyo
{h) The opening, widening, extending, straightening, and
surfacing, in whole or in part of any s~reet in suc~.
district, subject tv the consent of the governing body
of the county or c~ty in which saidiimprovement is to
be made.
(i) The construction and improvement of bridges, culverts,
curbs, gutters, drains and works incidental to the
purposes specified in subdivision (h), subject to the
consent of the governing body of the county or city in
whzch sazd improvement is to be made.
(j) The conversian of existing overhead elec~ric and eommuni-
cation facilities to underground locations, which facilities,
are owried and operated by either a"public agency!' or a
"gublic utiJ.fty" as defince.-di in section 5896.2 of the
5treets.and Highways Cade, and to take proceedings fib r and
to finance the cos~ of such conversion in accordance with
the provisions of Chapter 28 {commencing with Section 589601)
of Part 3 of Division '7 of the Streets and Highways Code,
subject to the consent of the public agency or public
responsible for the owning, operation and maintenance of
sach faciliti.es. Nothing herea.n contained sha11 be
construed as giving a distric~ farmed under this law the power
to install, own or operate such facilities as are descrihed
in this subdivision.
4, At the aforesaid hearing protests wili be oonsidered and
that requests in writing for exclusion from or inclusion of
J.ands in the proposed district ~ai11 be heard and considered.
The said protests and requests for exclusion or inclusion
must be made in writing pursuant to Government Co&e Section
61,11,1.
