HomeMy WebLinkAbout72-091WHEREAS, Government Code §§2953d, 29531 and 29532 (Chap. 1400
Statutes 197I) provide that the Board of Supervisors sha11 establish a
local transportation fund, sha11 deposit in such fund all revenues
derived from that portion of sales and use taxes imposed by the County
at a rate in excess of 1 percent, shall continuously appropriate the
money in such £und for expenditure for purposes specified in Article 11,
5ection 1 of Chapter 2 of Division 3 of Title 3 of the Government Code
and in Chapter 4(§§99200 et seq) of Part 11 of Division ~0 af the Public
Utilities Code, and that the County Auditor shall pay out of such furid
such amounts as are allocated by a council of governments or other
designated transportation planning agency.
NOW, THIItEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
of the County of But~e does hereby order the following:
I. Es~ablishment of a fund, in the County treasury, entitled
"LOCAL TRANSP012TATIOI~T FLTND".
2. Deposit, into such fund, all revenues derived from that
portion of sales and use taxes imposed by the County at a rate in excess
o~ 1 percent,
3._ Continuous appropriation of monies in such fund for
expenditure ptirposes specified in Government Code §29531.
4. Designation of The Butte County Association of Govern-
ments as the local transportation planning agency to administer such
fund and allocate monies therefrom pursuant to Chap. 1400, Statutes
1971 and rules and reguZations pramulgated by the California Business and
Transportation Agency.
5. Disbursemen~ of monies from such fund by the County
Au.ditor of such amoun~s as are allocated by The Butte County Associa~ion
of Governments.
