Reference is made to that certain cooperative agreement,
dated April 15, 1969, by and between-the County of Butte, a,
political subdiviszon of the State of Cal.ifornia, the City of
Biggs, the City of Chico, the City of Gridley, an d the City of
Oroville, each of which is a municipal corporation, formed
under the laws of the 5tate of California.
W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, the cities in the~aforementioned agreement wi.sh to
'set forth a clear demarcation of its representatives to the Butte
County Association of Governments in order to insure that said
cities and each of them w~ii ~e represented and to set forth
clearly who that representative woul.d be.
NOW, THEREFOR~, it is agreed between the cities hereto as
follo~rs:
1. Paragraph A of Article II of_the aforementioned agreement
is amended to rea'd as follows:
A. The voting members of the Association, each of whom
shall serve without compensation, sha11 consist of
the five (5) meinbers of the Butte County Baard of,
Supervisors and one elected ofticial from each
city to be selected by the governing body of each
city from among its members. The cities may
elect any .number of alternates who may vote and
otherwise represent each city, provided each of the
city parties h.ereto who so wish to provide
alternate members files wi.th tkie Secretary of the

Association a list of al~ernates setting forth the
priority of service, which priority o~ service
shall clearly establish the precedence o~ each of
the alternates to insure that there would be no
dispute as to which alternate will have precedence
in representing each of said cities. Tha t further,
all of the aforementioned alternates must be elected
officials from said cities.o
2, The remainder of the provisions of the aforanentioned
agreement and amendments thereto shall remain in ~ull force and
effect.
3. ~his agxeement may be executed in any number of counter-
parts:;and when so executed, each such counterpart shall be deemed
tv be an originaJ. hereof.

1. On or about April 15, 19b9 a cooperative agree-
ment pursuant to Tit1e 7, Article lI, Chapter 3 0~ the Government
Code was entered into between Butte County and tne Cities o£ Chico
Oroville, Biggs and Gridley, and ~
2. Said agreement was thereafter amended once, and
3, It now appears advisable that said agreement be
~urther amended, now therefore
