RESOLUTIOi~ OPFt3SING THE RESTR'ICTION OF THE
PUBLIC'S RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS
WHIItEAS, this Board has been cor-cexned for some:time
wi~h various attempts to limit or severely restrict the public's
right to keep and bear arms;
WHEREAS, the 5econd Amendment to the Gonstitution of the
United States provides: "A well regulated MiZitia being necessary
to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep
and bear P,rms, shall nat be infringed o
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board stongly
oppases any endeavor to restri.ct the right of tYie people of
this country to keep and bear arms.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supexvisors
