FOR~'lATION OF AN UNDERGROUi~p UTILSTY DIST~i.ICT ON THE SKYWAY
BE IT RESOLVEA by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
as follows:
WHER.EAS, Ordinance Noo 981 establ~.shes a procedure for the creation of
underground u-~i7.ity districts and requires as the initial step in such procedure
the holding of a public hearing to ascertain whether public necessity, health,
safety or welfare require the removal o~' poles, overhead wires and associated
overhead structures and the•underground installation of wires and facilities
for supplying electrie, communication, or similar or associated ser~v-ice in any
such district; and
W#IEREAS, it has been recommended that such an und.erground uti~ity
district, hereix~a.£ter cal.led District, be formed on the Skyway from JEWELL ROAD
(Sk~wa~* Engineer's Station 633~79.35) ~o LUCKY JOHN ROAD (Sl~yway Engineer's
Station 707~69.56) and bounded by a line 150 feet each side of the centerline of
Skyway.
NOW, THEREE'ORE~ BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. Notice is hereby given tha~, a}7ublic hearing wil.l be h~3.d by tlae
Board of Stizpervisors of the County of Bu~te on Sep~te~nbex 19 , 1972,
at the hour of 1:30 p.m. ~.n the Board of Supervisors Room o~ the Courthouse,
Oroville, Ca1.i£ornia, to ascertain whether the pub~ic necessity, health, sa£ety,
or welfare require the removaJ. of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead
structures and the underground installation of wire and .faca.l9.ties for s~applying
electric, communication, or similar associated service in th.e Da.strict herein--
above described.

7 owners and utili.ties concerned at least ten (10) days prior to the date thereof.
