THE CI~AIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF St7PE1tV~SORS TO
EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTX OF BUTTE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte hereby approves th.e a~tached
agreement between the United States Department of the In.terior
and the County of Butte and hereby authorizes rhe Chairman of
this Board to execute same on behalf of the Covnty pf Butteo
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte Coun~y Board of
Supervisors this 29th day of August , 1972, by the following

In accordance with the terms of a cooperative proJect agreement
between the U. 5. ~eparCmen# ot the Interior, 6ureau of Sport Fisheries and
Wildlife, the California Department of Agr~cuiture and the California Depari-
ment of ~ublic Health, approved (~tay 2a, 1958, copies of which are on file at
Room E2717, Federal Building, 2300 Cottage ':;ay, Sacramento,'California, a58?.5,
this field agreerrent is made to augment the animai damage ~control program fn
But'ta County, hereinafter known as the
cooperator,
IT 15 THEREFORE t1U7UALLY AGREED 7HA7:
1. The worfc contemplated herein is primarfiy fcr the purnose of
protecting domestic Zivestock, poultry, and su~pression of rabtes, both for
protection of domestic anima)s and human health.
2. The animal damage control rsrogram conducted under the terrns of
this agreerr~ent shall be urcler the general supervisian of the Bureau of Sport
Fisheries anc; 41i1dlife, the California Department of AgricuFture and the Cafif-
ornia penartment of Yublic Health, these three agencies acting as a unit in
accordance with the terms of the cooperative agreert~ent above referred to. The
locai representative of the t3ureau of SporY Fisheries and 1~31dlife wiil consult
frequently witii the coo~erator relative to the extent of Burea~.~ participation,
the determination of salaries a~d ex~enses of cooperative e~r.ployees, and ?lans
and procedures necessary to best serve the interests of the parties hereto.
Direct supervisio~ of the field operations sha1~ be vested in the dureau of
Sport Fisher9es and Wildlife.
3. The County of Hutte wi11 provide $ 9,b98.0U
for payment of salaries ancf authorized travel costs of personne] emuloyed in
this program during the period Juiy ], 19 72 to June 31, 1~ 73 . 7he Cureau
and State (Jepartiments of Agriculture and Public Health may contribuCe certain
sums fior suoplies and equipment and payment of hunters~ salaries and costs.
~+. i'he State Supervisar of the Bureau or his designated assistant
wtll terttfy es to correctness, a•11 claims to be ~aid by any party eo this
agreement and shatl ~erform such other administrative functfons as are agreed
upon from time to time; provided that no funds of the cooperator will be
collected or disbursed by any emplvyee•working under the terms of this agree-
ment, or transferred to any s~ch e4~,plnyee exce~~t in payment for salaries and
ar,,~enses in accorda~ce wfth Che plans and procedures formulated and aqre~d Co
