WHEREAS, this Board was grieved to learn af the death of
WILLIAM BOLLERUD, .retired Judge of the Dur~am Jud~ezal District, and
WI-IEREAS, W~LLIAM B4~LERUD was appointed Judge of the Durham
Jadicial District fn 1961 and remained until his retirement in 1971, and
WHEREAS, WILLIAM BQLLERUD served as the dxrector af the Durham
Farm Bureau and was a director of the Butte County Farm Bureau; was a
director of the National Land Federation and was president of the Durham
Water Users. He served as chairman of the Chico Democratic Club; was
a 35-year member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post
1555 and was commander of the 18th district VFW; he was a director of the
Durham Masquito District from 1932 to 197~ and was a past member of the
Silver pollar Fair Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I~ RES~LVED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Batte, State of Californxa, as follows:
l. That said Board hereby metnorali~es its appreciation: of the
meritorious services rendered to the County o~ But~e by WILL~AM BOLLERUD
during his lifetime.
2. Th.at the condolences and heartfelt sympatliy- of this Board
be extended. to his wife Dorothy and that the Clerk of this Board forward
a certified. copy of this Resolution to her.
3. That the regular meeting of th9.s Board held on October 24,
1972, be adjou.rned in .memoxy of WIT~LIAM BOLLERUD.
