BUTTE GOUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 730
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 710 OF
THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, KNOTAN AS THE "SALARY
ORDINANCE" FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1961-62.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, do ordain as follows:
1. That Ordinance No. 7I0 of the County of Butte is
hereby amended as follows:
(a) That there shall be added to said Ordinance
a section numbered "Section 42.1," which said section shall read
as follows:
SECTION NO, 42.1
INSURANCE. The County provides the following
program of insurance for its officers and employees:
(1) The preamble to this section notwithstanding,
those eligible to participate in this program are all
elective and appointive officers of the County and
Judicial Districts and all permanent employees of the
County who work at Tease fifty per cent (50%) of the
normal fu11-time working schedule.
(2) Eligible persons may elect to participate
in this program by application to the County.
(3) The County sha11 from time to time enter
into agreements with one or more persons for
.coverage of eligible persons and their families,
dependents, and the like, under one or more plans of
insurance against sickness, accident, maternity care,
catastrophic illness, loss of life or Limb, and
similar contigencies.
(4) The County shall pay ninety per cent (90%)
of the premium for coverage of the individual
eligible officer or employee, not to exceed Five
and Forty/100 Dollars {$5.40) per month.
(5) This program, the payment of the County's
share of the cost thereof, the arrangements for
coverage of eligible persons, and other administrative
details shall be subject to the agreements made from ,
time to time with the covering insurance carriers. or
persons offering this service and to such administrative
regulations as may be necessary to carry out the intent
of this chapter, including coverage of part-time or
temporary employees or others.
2. This Ordinance sha11 talte effect thirty (30)
days after the date of its adoption, and before the expiration
of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it sha11 be published
with the names of the members voting for and against the same,
once, in a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
