6302-2 was held on January 23, 1973 be~ore the Boa~d of Supervisors of
~he County o~ Butte on the question of the Baard's notice of intention
to opt out as the Commanity Action Agency and designate the Butte County
Economic Opportunity Council, Inc, as Community Action Agency for Bu~te
County as set out in Resolution No. 72-210, and
WfiEREAS, during said hearing numerous individua~s concerned
with the program made presentations to the Board of Supervisors, and
WI~EREAS, this Board finds that the Butte County ~conomic
Opportunity Council, Inc, is presently structured as to its membership
so as to be eligible to become the Community Action Agency.
NOW, TH~~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board:
l. That the Butte Coun~y ~conomic Opportunity Council, Tnc.
is hereby designated as ~he Community Action Agency in Batte County, and
the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby opt out as the Community
Action Agency,
2. That the effective date of the a~oremen~ioned action is
Apri1 ~, 1973.
3. Tha~ the in-kind services present~y being given to t he
economic opportunity program by the County of Butte shal~ continue
throughout the remainder of this fisca~ year, and that it is th.e
intention of this Board to consider the continuation of in-kind
services during the forthcoming budget session, at which time a
review of the program will be made by the Board of Supervisors and
a decision shall be made at that time as to future in-kird contri-
butionso

4. That the Western Regional Office of Economic Opportunity
and ~he State of Cali~ornia are respectful~y requested to grant recognition
to the Butte County Economic 0}~portunity Council, Inc, as the Community
Actio.n Agency for $utte County.
