WF~REAS, the total extent of the damage cannot yet be as-
certained, it is apparent that next year's cxop wi11 be severely limited.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT R~SOLVED by th~s Board:
1. That Butte County, as well as surroundzng citr~s pro-
ducing areas, be declared a disaster area as rega~ds c~~~us production so as
to qualify the affected farmers for Federal and Sta~e grants an~ loans.
2. That a copy of this resolution be sent to the Honorable
Ronald Reagan, Governor of ~he S~a~e of Californfa, the Hono~able Fred
Marler, State Senatox, the Honorable Ray Johnsan, State Assemblyman and the
Honorable Jerry W. Fielder, State Director of Agriculture and to such other
parties as this board directs.
