5ect'ion 1o That the settlement of the suit f iled on
`behalf of the county against Edgington Oil Company, The State of
California, et a1, v. Standard Oil Company of C~lifornia, et al,
Civi1. Act~on No. 51107, as set forth in the Settlement Agreement
dated Feb~uary 13, 1973, entered into on behalf of the Caunty of
Butte by its counsel is hereby authorized, approved and ratifieda
Section 2. That Jack J, McKillop, Chairman of the Board
of Supervisors, be and he is hereby authorized to execute and deliver
the Fina1 Release approved by its counsel (Exhibit C to the Settlement
Agreement) and cause the suit to be dismissed without prejudice,
each party to bear its own costs and attorneys' fees.
PA55ED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors

AYES; Supervisors Cameron, Gilman, Zadd~ Madigan, and Chairman
McKillop
