Section 1. That the settlement of the suit filed on behalf
of the county against Witco Chemical Corpora~i.on and Robert L.
Feldman, The State of California, et al, vo Standard Oi1 Companp of
California, et al, Civil Action No. 5J.107, as set farth in the
Settlement Agree~nent dated February ].3, 1973, entered into on behalf
of the County of Sutte by its counsel is hereby authorized, approved
and ratified.
Section 2. That Ja~k .T. McKiJ.lop, Chairman of the Board
of 5upervisvrs, be and he is herebp authorized to execute and deliver
the Final Release approved by i~s cou.nse7. (Exhibit C to the Settlement
Agreement) and cause the suit to be d~.smissed without prejudice,
eaclz party to bear its own costs and attorneys' fees.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
