WHERF.AS, this Board has vzewed with pride over the years the
considerable contributians and sacrifices the men and women.of this
Cnunty have made towards the defense of our Country, and
WHEREAS, .a,n....out.stasidir~g exampl.e .o£ t1~se va,J,i.a•nt.t~e~-and women
is Captain Anthony Andrews, USAF, and
WHEREAS, w~Zi1e p.iloting an aircraft in service of his Country
Captain Andrews was shot down in 1967 and was held as a prisoner of
w'ar by the North Vietnamese ~rom then until this past week.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED as follows:
1. 'That this Board wishes to honor Captain Andrewrs as an
outstanding example of those who have made great personal saCri~ices in
the service of our Country,.and tha~ on behalf of the people of this
County wish to express ~o him our sincere appreciation for his service
and sacxi~ice, as well as to express our appreciation to all men and
women from this County who served so unseI.fishly and with such
devation.
2. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the But~e County Board of Super-
