BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board o~ Supervisors of the
County of Butte hereby approves the atfiached agreement between
the tJnited Stated Department of the Tnterior and the California
State Department of Agriculture Cooperating with Sutte County
and hereby autharizes the Chairman of this Board fio execute same
on behalf of the Cour~.ty of Buttea

In accordance with the terms af a coaperative project agreement
betwean the U. S, pepartment of the ~nterior, 6ureau of Sport Fisheries and
• k'ildiire, the Cali~or.nia Department of Agriculture and the Calffornia Depart-
ment of ?ublic Nealth, ap~roveo May 2f3, 1~5$, copies of which are on fi3e at

. this field agreerrent is made to augment tF~e animal damage control pragram in
~U~'T' County, hereinafter known as the
coo~erator.
IT 4S 1'htEREFORf t~1UTUALLY AGREE~ THAT:
1. 7he wark contem~lated hereBn is primarily fcr tRe pur~ose of
protecting domestic livestock, poultry, and suppression ot rabies, both for
protection of domestic animals and human heaEth.
2. The animal damage cantrol ~rogram conducted under the YeYrr~s of
this agreement shail 8e urd er the general supervisinn of the Bureau of Sport
Fisherfes and wildlife, the Caiifornia Ue;;aremenC of Agriculture and Ehe Calif~
ornia ~epartment of I'~blic Healt~, these three agencies acting as a unit in
accordance with the terms of the cooperative agreement above referred to. The
locat representative ofr the fs~reau.of S~ort Fisheries and !-`ildlife will consult
frequently with the coo~erator relative to the extent of Bureau participation,
the determination of salaries and ex~enses of cooperati~e entpioyees, and plans
and procedures necessary to best serve the interests of the ~arties hereto.
Direct supervision of the field operations shall be vested in the Qureau of
Sport Fisheries and Wildlife.
3. The County of ~UTT:~ wi t 1 provide $ 1Q,0~' .~
for payment ot salaries and authorized travel costs of personnel employed ~ n~

this program during the ~eriod July 1, 1~ 73 to JuRe 3), 1)~. The Cur~u c
and State Departments of Agriculture and Public HEalth may contribute cer`~tai~ ~
sums for suopties and equipmer~t and payment of hunters' sateries and costs. --y,~T+`

4. The State Supervfsor o~F the Bureau or his designated assi~ta~ ~^..~r;
will certify as to correctness, atl clafms to be ~aid by any party to ~i~ 1' e='
agreement and shall perform such other admi~isYrative functions as ar~agP ed :,; r::
uport from time to time; provided that no funos ar` ths cooperator will~e'v ~' ''
collected or disbursed by any empioyee working under the terms of this ag er e-~i
mant, or transferred to any such employee except in paymenE for salaries and
ex,~enses in accordance wtth the plans and procedures formulated and agreed ko
under Paragraph 1 a6ove.

5. The empioyees sel~cted and appointed hereunder, and serving
in BUTT~ County, sha11 be deemed to be Lhe
employees of said Caunty and shall be covered by iCS 4torkmen's Compensation
and other insurance and inciuded in Retirement Benefits; but the actual
superv;s)o~, direction and cont~o! of said employees is delegated to the
Federal a~d State agencies aforesaid,
6. This agreement and any continuation hereof shalE be contRngent
upon the availabilEty of funds, It is understood and agreed that any monies
allocated for the purposes of this agreement shall be ex;~ended in accordance
with its terms and in the manner hrescribed by the fiscal regu~ations
ahd/or administraYive policies of the agenty making the funds avaiiable. :.
7. ~his agreement may be terminated by any party upon thirty (3~)
days writYen notice, and by mutual agreement of Che ~arties hereto. :
