WNEREAS, one af the steps in the ~rocedu~e to anend this contract 1s the adopt3on
by the le.gislative body of the public agency of a resolutfon giving
nokice of its in~ention to approve an amendment to sa€d contract, whieh
resolutian sh~lt cont~in a summary af the changes proposed in s~td
contract; and
WHE3iERS~ the following is a sia~em~nt of the propased change:
Retirement ailowanees to which the annual cost-af-li~ing Qrovisions apply,
payable for time corrmpncing on the first day of tf~e calendar montM coin-
ctding wi~h or ne3;t folZnsving the effective date of this amendment to or
on account of ~essons retired or members deceased on or prior to
flecember 31, i97p, are here+~y increased by 5%.
W~IEREAS, the estimate of the cost of,such change for the public agency is set forYh
in~a copy af the valuatian repart attached f~ereto~ marked "£xhibit A"
and by this reference incorporated into the amandm~nt as though therein
set out in full.
