RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION N0. 73-150
FIXING TAX RATES I~ THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, did, at a regular meeting of said Board on August 28, 1973,
adopt Resolution No. 73-150 fixing the tax ra~es in the County of Hutte
for the 1973-74 fiscal year; and
WHER~AS, Assembly Bill No. 2008 (Chap. 358, 1973 Statutes) was
enacted into 1aw, as an urgency measure, on August 31, 1973 to allow an
increase in maximum tax rate limitations; and
WHEREAS~ AB 2008 provides for extension of the time for ~ixing tax
rates for the 1973-74 fiscal year until Sep~ember 14, 1973 in order to
allow cer~ain local agencies to levy sufficient taxes to finance their
1973-74 expenditure requirements; and
W[~I~REAS, certain local agencies in Butte County have adopted expendituxe
budgets in excess of the amount of property tax revenues available under
tax rates fixed by Resolution No. 73-150, and it is necessaxy for the pre-
servation of public peace, health or safety that those agencies be ailowed
to levy sufficient taxes (subject to the limitations provided by AB 2008}
to finance their expenditure programs;

NOW, THEREFORP BE~~ESQLVED, that the Board of Supexvisors of the County
of Butte, 5tate of California does hereby amend Resolution No. 73-15Q
fixing the 1973-74 tax ra~es fox the following iocal agencies:

who moved its adoption, seconded by Supervisor L add , and said
resolution was passed this llth day of Sen tember, 1973~ on roll call by
