the County of Butte passed and adopted Resolution 73-170 expressing
its inten~ion ~o p~ovide additional extended services within County
Service Area No, 47 and setting a publiC hearing on ~rhe ques~ion
to be held Noveinber 13, 1973 at 2:00 pom. in the Board of Superviso~s
chambers, County Adminzstration Buildi~g, Oravil~e, California, and
WHEREAS, notice o£ said hearing was duly pub~ished pursuant
to Government Code §6061, said hearing was duly held and al~
interested persons or tax payers were given the opportunity to be
heard, and
WHER~S no pro~es~ ~o the praposed extension of services
ha s been f iled, az~.d
Wi-iEREAS this Board has determined that street ligh.~eing is
a type of extended service referred to in Government Code §25210.4
and that the public convenience and necessity require tk~at such
service be provided within County Service.Area No. 47.
I~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the Butte
Coun~y Board of Supervisors as follows:
1. The authorizec~ services of County 5ervice Area No, 47
are hereby extended to include provison of street lighting pursuant
to Article III of Ckaap~er 2,2 of Part 2 Division 2, Tit1e 3 of th.e
Governme,n.t Code (§25210.30, et seq,)o
2o The exterior boundaries of ~he territory affected by
this resolution are the same as those of Co~snty Service Area No, 47,
which boundaries are described in Exhibit A afitached hereto and
made a part hereo~' by ~hzs referenceo

3. App~~cation is hereby made to the Butte Coun~y ~oca1
Agency Formation Commission requesting determination of the maximum
tax rate for County Service ~rea Noo ~7 pursuant to Revenue and
Taxation Code §2263,1, as enacted by Chapter 358 of the statutes o£
1973 (AB 2008).
