established a health insurance premium trust fund on August 29, ~.97~
by Resolution No. `]2-147, and
WI~REAS, the New York Z,i~e Insurarzee Company, present
carrier o.~ the Caunty employees' health insurance program, has
returned ~o the County of Butte a premium dividend in the amoun~ of
$180,114.00 fo~ t~e contract year 1972-1973, and
W~.EAS, it z.s the intention of the Boaxd of Supervisors
o~ ~he County of ~utte to co~t~.nue to provide pre~nium sharing for
couu~y emp~.o~rees to off-set rate increases.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 1~OLV~;D that the Board of
Supesvisors of the Coun.t~ o~ Butte ~.ereby orders the County Audztor to
cos~.tinue in effect the health insurance premium trust fund and to make
adjustments from said. fund to the premium dividend rate in.crease of t~.e
employee, the County and ~he contracting a~en.cies t~.rough Ju.ne 30, 19']4.
B~ IT FURT~iER R~OLVED that the $180,114.00 premium
received for the cantract year 1972--1g'73 shall be deposited to said
trust fund.
BE IT FUR'rHER RESOLVED that the method of disposi~ion
of the balance o~ the funds remaining in said tru.st fund on June 30,
19']4 shall be detrermined by this Board at a futu~e date.
