AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 702
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, AN INTERIM. ZONING
ORDINANCE
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, do ordain as follows: "
1. That Ordinance No. 702 of the County of Butte is
hereby amended as follows:
(a) That portion of Section 5 of said Ordinance which
reads as follows, to wit: "provided, however, that in any event
this Ordinance shall absolutely terminate on December 31, 1961
and shall be of no further farce and effect after said date"
is hereby rescinded, deleted and repealed.
(b) That there shall be added to said Section 5 of
said Ordinance No. 702 in the place and stead of the language
hereinbefore rescinded, deleted and repealed the following
language: "or until such time as the above described area is
permanently zoned under a new zoning Ordinance now being
considered by the County of Butte."
2. For the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health and safety of the area in said Ordinance 702 described,
and the residence and inhabitants thereof, it is necessary that
this Ordinance take effect immediately. A declaration of the
facts constituting the necessity thereof is as follows:
That the County of Butte is now considering and has
engaged experts to compile a complete and new zoning ordinance
for the County of butte and that it is necessary in the public
interest to maintain the status quo of the area described in
said Ordinance 702 pending the adoption of said new zoning
ordinances and in particular a zoning ordinance for said area.
3, This emergency Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days
after its passage shall be published once, with the names of all
members voting for and against the same, in the Chico Enterprise

County of Butte, State of California, this 4th day of December,
1961, by the following vote:
