irdHEREAS, it is the purpose of this Ordinance to amend
6
Section 71{f) and Section 81 of Article Three of Chapter V~.I of
7
-Butte County Ordinance No. 467;
8
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of the
9
County of Butte, Skate of California, do ordain as follows:
10
1. That Section 71(f) of said Ordinance shall read
11
as follows:

"Junk" is defined as any old iron, wire, copper,
14
tin, lead, rags, paper, bags, lumber, empty bottles, bones,
15
parts of bicycles, tricycles, baby carriages, automobiles, and
16
other vehicles, dismantled, in whole or in part, kept, stored,
17
located, situated or piled in public view, and all other similar
is
personal property ordinarily defined and classified as "junk,"
19
kept, stored, located, situated, ar piled in public view and
20
not screened from public view by a fence as provided in Section
21
81 hereof.

2. That Section 81 of Butte County Ordinance No. 467
23
is hereby amended to add to said Section 81 the following

paragraph, to wit:

27 (New paragraph to be added to present Section 81.)
28 Each and every person, whether subject to the
29 provisions of this Ordinance or not, and whether licensed antler
30 this Ordinance or not, who allows "junk," as defined in this
31 Article, to be stored, located, situated, or piled on property
32 or premises over which he has control, which is not obscured

from public view by a fence as herein required, shall, after
reasonable notice is served upon him in writing by the Sheriff's
Office of the County of Butte, either remove said "junk," or
obscure the same from public view by a fence as herein provided,
and upon failure to do so, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor,
and the continued existence of such condition shall be deemed a
separate and distinct offense for each and every day that said
condition continues to exist after the time stated in said
notice; and it shall be the duty of the District Attorney to
prosecute said violations until said condition is abated,
fenced or removed.
This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15)
days after its passage, it shall be published at least once
with the names of the Supervisors voting for and against it in
Paradise Press , a newspaper published in the County
of Butte, State of California.
The foregoing Ordinance was duly adopted and passed
'~by the. Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, on the 4th day of December, 1961, by the following
vote:
AYES : Supervisors Alldredge, Pittman, Pryde, Steinegger and
Chairman Giles
NOES : None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING : ft~one
