But~e initiated preliminary pxoceedings for the annexation of
certain descr~bed territory ro County 5ervice Area No, 4 by
passing, adopting and tiling wi.~h the Butte County Lacal Agency
Formafiion Commission. Resolution Noo 73--18~+, and
WHEREAS, ~he Butte County ~ocal .Agency Formation
Commission., after appropriate proceedings, adopted Resolution
73-31. on December 6, 1973 apgroving said annexation, and found,
determined and resolved as follows:
1. 'I`lze ex~terior boundaries of ~Che territory to be
annexed are as described in':Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made
a part hereof by this reference.
2o The territory proposed fox annexation is uninhabitedo
3. That the following dis~C~.n~tive short-form designation
shall be used throughout the proceedings: L:~'C No. 73-55, proposed.

WHEREA~, the xeason for this annexation proposal is to
provide maintenance and servicing of drainage facilities and
~onstru~tion, operation., rep7.acement, maintenance and repair of
sew'age collection, transportation and disposal systems for the

with the requiremen~s of th.e District Reorganization Act and the

hereinbefore described to County Service Area No, 40
2o A public hearing shall be ~eLd on this praposed
annexation on February 26, 1474 at 2:d~ Pomo
in ~he Board of Supervisors Room, Butte County Administration
Buildingp Oroville, Californiao
3a Any interested person desiring to make written
protest against the proposed ar-ziexa~ion, sha1~ do so by signed,
written communication filed wi~h the Clerk of the Board of
Superva:"sors a~ ~he Cou.nty .Administ~ation Bv.ilding, Orovillee
California not later than the hour set for hearing, Atty such
written protest by a landowner sha11 contain a descri.p~eion
sufficient to identity the land owned by him; a protest by a
voter sha1Z con~tain the residentia~ address of such vo~ero
° 4, 'The C3.erk is directed to certify to the passage
of this resolution; to have it published once each week for two
successive weeks in the Peradise Post , the first
such pub7.ication to be at least ~5 days prior to the date of
hearing; to post a copy of this resolution on the bulletin board
outside the Board of Supervisors room, such posted notice to
commence at least 15 days prior to the date set for hearing
and continue until the time of the hearing; and to mail a cvpy of
this resolution., postage prepaid, to each Zand owner owning
land in the territory p~oposed for annexa~ion and to aIl
persons and coun~a.es, cities or districts which have heretofore
filed a written request for special notice with the C1erk, such
mailing to be completed at least 15 days prior to the date of
the hearing.
