intends to consider a proposal for ann~ation of the territory
hereinafter described fi.o County Service Area No. 4 and ~esires to
initiate a proceeding for said annexation pursuant to th.e District
Reorganization Act, beginning hrith Section 56000 of the Gaverrunent
Code;
I~~IEREAS, prior to adoption of a resolt~tion by the Board of
~ Supervisors initiating annexation proceeda.ngs i~ is necessary to
app~.y to ~he Bu~~e County LocaJ. Agency Foxmation Commission for its
review and approval nr disapproval of the proposed annexation.
NOW, TI~R~FOR~, B~ I~ RESOLVEA.ANA ORD~R~p by tha Butte
County Board of Supervisors as follows:
1. Application and a proposal is hereby made to the Butte
Caunty Local ,Agency Formation Commission for the annexation of
certai.n uni.nhabited ter~itox~y ~o County Service Area No. 4, The
exterior bounda~ies of such territory are described in Exhibit "A"`
attack~.ed hereta and made a par~ hereof by this reference.
2. 'The reason for this proposal is to provide maintenance
and servicing of drainage facilities and m nstruction, operation,
replacement, maintenance and repair of sewage coJ.~ection, transportation
and disposal systemsa
3. The Clerk of the Board is authorized and directed to fil.e
a certified copy of this resolutio.t~ with ~rhe Executive Officer of the
Butte County Zoca~ Agency Formation Commission,
