The special. school dzstrict maximum tax rate e~.ection to be he1c3 in P~radise Unified 5chool Distriet on Tuesday, J~ane ~, ~-97~+, at which election there sha1Z be submitted to the qualified electors of said district as follows: PARADISE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRIC~ Maximum Tax Rate Election Probasition No. 1 (Elementary School) Shall the Govern3ng Board of the Paradise Unified School District prepare-p~ans and -Y~ specifications and lease"buildings to be S constructed for use by the schoo~ district consisting of a fully furnis~ed, equipped and ,Iandscaped elementary school to be furnished~ insta~led and constructed on that certa~n 10 to`~3 acre school site located on Bi~le Road in Paradise,- California; and~ ftir such purposes, shall the maximum tax ra~e of the District be increased by twenty-nine cents (29¢) per one hundred d~llars (~100) of -`~~ assessed valuation~ such rate to be in e~~ect in the.Paradise.Unified School District for the school years 19~~-75 to 204$-2009, be.authorized and the a~ount of sueh inc~ease used solely and exclusively for such p~rposes? , PrnAOSition Na. 2 (zntex~mediate School) Shall ~he Governzng Board of the Parad~se Unified Schaol District prepare plans and sp,ecifications and lease buxldarigs to be constructed for use by the school d~strict Y~S consisting of`fo~r general classrooms~ a library~ a g~neral shop, a homemaking room, and locker and shower faeilities for both gir~s ~nd boys to be furnished, iristall~d and constructed on the P~radise Tn~ermedia~e School site belonging to the District and located on Pearson Road 3n Paradise, Galifornia•,;.and, for such purposes~ shall '.the maximum tax rate of the D~strict be increased by twe~ve cents (12¢) per one hundred do~tiars (~100) NO of assessed va~uation~ such rate to be in effec~ in ~he Paxadise Unifzed School District for the school years 197~-75 ~0 2008-2009~ be authorized and the amo~uzit of such ;increase used s~lely and ~x~3~usively for~such purposes? ~~~~ Proposition. Proposi~ion No. 4 (Performing Arts) ~ Shall the Governing Board of the PaTadise Unified School District prepare plans and speeifications and lease a building to be constructed for use by the school district corisisting of a~illy ~urnishEd, equipped and landscaped--performing arts building to be us~d ~~S as"classroo~ faci~ities by the high school during the'day and as an auditorium by the high sehool and the commtznity at nig~t and on week~ e~ds to be ~urnished~ ins~al~ed and constructed on%the Paradise High School site belonging_to ~he-Distriet and located on Maxwell Drive in Pa~adise~;,California; and, for such purposesl shall the xamimum tax rate of the District.be ~ncreased .by ~wenty-four.cents (24¢) per one hundred doll~rs (~100).of assessed valuation~- N~ sueh rate:to:be in effect in the paradise Unified Sehool District for the school y~ars ~97~-75 tq,:2008-2009, be authorized and the amount of such increase used solely and e~~lusively,;~or such;pu.r,poses? be and the saane is hereby consoli:dated with.'~he Direct P~imary Election to be he7.d in Sutte County~ and throughou~ the State of California~ on ~zesday~ Jvne ~+~ 1:97~+~ and this Bc~.rd hereby con,sen.ts to saa.d consolidation. . 2. The election precincts~ po3.l.ing places and voting booths ~'or said special dis~ric~ in~imum tax rate e~.ection and said direct primary election. sha1.1 in every case be th.e same and there shall be only one set of e~ectian officers in each precinc~ for both of said e~ec~~ons. The precincts, polling places a~nd election officers for said special d.istrict ma.ximum tax ~ate election shall be those designated and appointed for said direc~ primary election in that certain notiee t~ be given by the County C1erk of Butte County of the ~lection officers appointed and polling p7.aces designated for each precinct for said direct pri.mary e7.ection, wh~ch not3.ce is to be publ.ished pursuant to E~ect~.ons Code Section 1622, to ~rhich notice reference is hereby specif~.cally made ~or a designation of precinets, polling p~aces anc~ election officers for said specYal d~,stra.ct maximam tax rate election, All proeeedings had in the prema.ses shall be recorded in the electio~ papers for said direct primary elee~ion and~ except as hereinafter stated, said elections s~a1.l be held in of Supervzsors of But~e County wi~1 canvass the results o~ said special district maximum ~ax rate election and will certify t.he results to the Governing-Board of said district and to the County Superintendent of Schools. 3. The County Clerk of said Coun~y is hereby ordered and directed ~o provide with~n said territory affec~ed by said conso~idation the electivn precincts, polling places and voting booths for eaeh of said elections hereby consolidated~ w hich in each case shall be the same~ and th~r~ shall be only one se~ of election officers in each of said precincts. Said County C~erk is",further;ordered and directed to print upon each of ~he baZ~ots to:be used at said D~rect Primary Election wi~hin said territory affected by.said consolidation said district maximu~ tax ra~e set forth ~n 8ect~on ~ of this resolu~ion. Said Count.y Clerk is fur~her o~d~'red and d~rected (i) ~o set forth on a11 sample ballots relating to said D~rec~ Primary ~lection and to be mailed tv the qualified electors of the d~strict within said territory a€fected by said consolida~ion said ~istrict maximum ~ax rate~ and to mai~ to-said qualified e3ectors of the district in said territory said sample ballo~s and also p~lling plac~ Eards signed_.by said County Clerk relating to said special school district maximum tax rate election in the time and in the form required by;law~ and (~i) tn provide absent voter ballots for s~id.Direet Primary Election and said specia~ school district m~imum tax rate election hereby consolidated ~herewith for use by;the qual3fied electors of the district wi~hin said territory affected by said consolidation who may be entitled to such a~sent voter ballots in the manner provided by law. In the event that riq~non-partisan ballot is to be provided at said Airect Primary Election for use within the district~ ~hen the County Clerk is ~ereby authoriz~d and directed to cause to be printed in s~y1e and form required by law a special bal~ot upon wh~ch sha11 appear said district maximum tax rate for use by non-partisan voters at said ~+• special distr~ct maximum tax rate election conso~idated with said Direct Primary Election. The Coun~y Clerk is fur~her authorized ~a eharge to the distric~ the additional expense of prin~ing upon the sainp~e and official ballots ~or use in said ~erritory said district maximum tax rate to be submitted to ~he qualified electors of the district, and such other incidental expenses as may be incurred solely by reasn of this order of consplidation. TT IS-HEFiEBY FOUND AND DETERMTNED that the boundaries af the district are coterminous with the bouz~daries of ~he Butte County Election 1'recinc~s to be used a~ said Direc~ Primary Election. 4. Certified copies of this resolution shall be forwarded by the Cou.nty Clerk to ~he Governing Board of the district and to the Coun~y Superintenden~ of Sehools.
