No. 68-196 and No. 70-5, this Board. of Supervisors has establish.ed
a procedure to annually xeview the salaries paid to employees in ~he
classified service o~ the Covnty of Sutte; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors find it to be in the public
interest to attract and retain qua7.ified employees in the County
classified service; and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this purpose, the compensation
and benefit programs of the County must remain competitive and equitable;
and
~+1HEREAS, it is c3eemed necessary from time to time to e~*aluate
~he established policies for reviewing the county compensatim and
benefit programs.
NOW, TIiEREFORE, BE IT RES~OLVED by the Board of ~.pervisors
of the Couxxty of Butte, State of California: Resolution 68-196 and
Resalution 70-4 are hereby repealed.
BE I~ ~Ul.2THER RESOLVED that rates of pay and fringe benefits of
County employees a.n ~h.e ~~assified service shall heneetorth be
determined with consi.dera~ion. to the following:
1. The rates of pay for comparable work under comparable
working conditions a~n the ~ounties of: Sonoma, Solano, San~a Cruz,
Merced, San I~uis Obispo, Hvmbo~dt, Yolo, P~.acer, ~hasta and lo~al
prevailing paypracticeswhen applicable.
2. The Consumer Price Tndax data as published by the
Bureau of Labor S~ta~kistics for the United States All Ttems, 1.967
Base Year.
