Study to be funded in part from funds made available thsough
~he Oranibus Cr~me Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL
90-3~5~ as amended, PL 91=6~4~ (hereafter referred to as the
Safe S~reets Act) administexed by the Calxfornia Council on
Criminal Jus~ice (hereafter referred to as CCCJ).
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED that the Communications
~ffice af the County of Butte was authorized, on its behalf~ to
submi~ ~he attaehed Applxcation for Grant for Law Enforcement
Purpases to CGC~' and xs authorized to execute on behalf of
Butte County the attached Grant Award Contract for law enforce-
raent purposes including any extensions or amendments thereo~'.
$E ~T ~'URTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to
provzde a~.l matching funds required for said project (inc~uding
any extension or amendment thereof} under the Safe Streets Act
and the r~zles and regulations of CCCJ and the Law Enforcement
Assistance Administration and that cash will be appropriated as
required thereby.
BE TT ~'URT~iEFi RESOLVED that grant ~~ds received
hereunder sha11 not be used to supplant on-going law enforcement
expenditures.
