RESOLU'~ION ADOPTING SENA'TE RESOLUTION 77 PASSED BY
TH,~ CALIFORN'XA STATE SENATE ON FEBRiJARY 6, 197~
WHEI2EAS, Senate Resalution 77 relates to an investigation
by the Public Utilities Commisszon o~ the State o~ Califo~nia
con.cerning the interconnection of miscellaneov.s customer provided
devices to the faci~ies of telephone u~zlities.
WHEREAS, the ~'enate has requested that a.n order that the
public 3nterest be served, the Public Utilities.Commissa.on of the
State of Califom ia be provided full asstzrance that there will be
no adverse e~~ect on telephone rates appl~.Cable to the general
public, particularly to low-income x.ndividuals an,d small businesses.
'I'FiER~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Board that ~he Board
of S~upervisors agarees with the concern expressed by ~he California
State Sen~,ate in Senate ResoJ.v.tion 77.
BE IT FURTHER R~SOLV~D that the County Clerk ~orward a
copy of this Resolution to the Pttblic Utilities Com~ssion of the
Sta~ee of California.
