initiated pre~iminary proceedings for the annexation of certain
described territory to County Service Area No. 47 by passing,
adopting and filing with the Butte Covnty Local Agency Formation
Commission Resolu~tion No. 74-27, and
WHEREAS, the Butte tbunty Local A~ency Formation Commission,
after appropriate proceedings, adopted Resol.ution 7~-9 on April 4,
1974 approvir~g said annexation and found, determined and resolved
as follows:
1. The exterior boundaries at the territory to be annexed
are as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof by this reference.
2. The territory propose~.for annexation is unint~abitad.
3. 'That the following distinctiv~e short-form designation
shall be used throughout the proceedings; LAFC No. 74-9, Pxoposed
.Annexation to County Service Area No. 47.

provide storm drainage maintenance and street lighting.
NOW;= ~H~REFORE, SE IT RESOLVED as fo~.lows in compliance with
the requirements of the District Reorganization Act and the detex-
mit~ations of the Local Agency Formation Commission:
1. ~r is the intention of this Board to annex the territoxy
hereinbefore described to County Service Axea No. /~7.
2. A publ9.c hearing shall be held on this proposed
annexation on May 28, 1974 at 2:00 p.m. in the Board of ~iperv'isors
Room, But~e County Administration Building, Oroville, California.

3. Any in~erested person, desiring to make vr~itten protest
against the prqposed annexation shall do so by signed, written
communication filed with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at
the Coun~y Aclministration Building, Oroville, California not later
than khe hour set for hearing. Any su~h written pratest by a
landowner shall contain a description sufficient to identify the
Iand owned by him; a protes~ by a voter sha11 contain the resi-
dential address ot such voter.
4o The Clerk is directed to certify ~o the passage of this
resolution; to'',have it published once each week for two successive
weeks in ~he ' Chico En.ter~rise~-kecord _;. the first such
publ.ication ta',be at least 15 days priox to the date of hearing;
eo post a copy''of this resolution on the bulletin board outside the
Board of Sv.pervisors room, such posted notice to comsnence ak least
~.5 days prior to the date set for hearing and continue until the
time:of the hearing; and to mail a copy of this resolution.,
postage prepair, to each land owner owning land in the territory
proposed for annexation aid to a11 persons and counties, cities
or districts which have heretotore filed a written request fo~
special notice',wi~h the Glerk, such mailing to be wmpleted at
least 15 days piror to the date of the hearing.
