~~ STATE.i3F CALtFORNIA, pepartment of Fish and Game, (Hereinafter called the
~ "State" .

7 ~ I~iITNESSETH:
g 4JHEREAS, the State is engaged in an invesfigation of rainhow trout in
g Paradise Reservoir, be5abta Reservoir anci Pt-iibrook Reservoir and other waters
10 in the State of California, and _
11 l~HER~AS, an integra~ part of this investigation is tagging and re}easing
12 ~ of rainbow trout in order to determine rates of angler harvest and,,
13 WHEREAS, 7he success of this phase of the investigatian is dependent
` 14 ,upon the return of the rainbow trout tags by a~glers and upon a detecmination
I5 ~ of the proportion of tags tihati are recovered by anglers but not returned to
16 ~~the State, and,.
17 ~ SJHEREAS, tha payment of money for the return of fish tegs is known to
18 ~~ assure a more complete return, ancf,
19 1~1HEREAS, the Gounty is located in a center of rainbow trout sporx
20 ~fisheries and wishes to cooperate with the State in conserving the E~igh economic
27.. ~ and recreational values of these fisherie s, and ~

22 ~ WFEEREAS, the Gounty has a fish and game propagation fund from which
23 ~ expenditures are made for the propagation and conservation of fish or game,
24 ~ or both, uncEer the direction of tF~e Board of Supervisars; and '
25 j t~lHEREAS, the County desires to expend fram said fish and game propagation
26 ~fund fior the purposes hereinafter expressed, ~

27 ~ NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED by and betvreen the parties hereto

3o The State will thereafter tag a num5er ot ;rainbow trout which=, in
its judge~ent, is sufficient for the study. Of this number of tags, a`

4, The State will disburse from said account, at the rate of FlVE
DOLLARS ($5.00) per tag to each anr! every persan returning to tne State
a tag accompanied with information, acceptable to the State, in accordance
with instruction issued by the Stateo The State wili tell recipients of
tf~ese disbursements of the purpose of the tagging program and the contribution
the County is meking for the success of said program.
5o When, at the conclusion of the tagging study, the State determines
ehat all passible tag returns have been completed, the then undisbursed monies
remaining in said trust account will be raturr~ed to the County.
