BOARD OF SUPERVISQRS
RESOLUTTQN REQUESTZNG C.I.R. EXTENSION O~'
DE.~DLINE FOR NEW GENERZIL PL~lI~T ELEME1~72'S
1 WHEREAS, Ca~.ifornia Government Code 65302.2 requires the
2 County to prepare and adopt the Seismic Sa£ety Element, the
3 Noise Element, the Safety Element, and the Scenic Highway Element
4 into the Butte County General Plan; and
6 WHEREAS, said Code se~s a deadline date for adoption,of
6 said elemen~s but allows ~he State Council on Intergovernmental
7 Relations to extend the adoption date for a reasonable period of
8 time; and
9 TnifiEREAS, the Council on Intergovernmental Relations has
10 developed criteria ~to review applications for extension and will
1Z be considering extension reques~ts at its August meeting; and
12 WHEREAS, the Butte County Planning Department has not lzad
13 sufficient staff-time to prepare said elements for Board consider-
7.~ ' ation; and
15 WHEREAS, said elements will not be adopted before the
16 summer of 1975;
17 NOfinT, THEE2~~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County
18 Board of Supervisors hereby requests the California Council on
I9 Intergovernmental Relations to extend the deadline for ~he adop-
~~ 'tion of the new General Plan elements from September 20, 1974
21 ~o September 20, 1975.
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that ~he Butte County Board o~
23 Supervisors approved tk-e submission of the at~ached applicata.on
2~ ,Package to the Cala.fornia Council on In~ergovernmental Relations
~ for their consideration.
