has deClared its intention to study the possibility of a
rea7.ignment of sub-sfiate districts in the State of California,
and
WHEREAS, Butte County. holds that the several counties
of the State of California are doing an excellent job of
providing responsible government for the citizens of Califoxnia.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ~hat the Cov.nty of Butta
does t~rge the Council on Intergoverntnenta]. Relations to designate
each County in CaZi~ornie as a separate sub-state district, with
each county bein.~ able to enter into "Joint Powers" and other
agreements as may be necessary for the purpose of providing
specific services to its several jurisdictions.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte Courxty Board of Super-
