WHE~AS~ the Board of Directors of the Yuba Co~anty Wat~r
District (nereinaf'ter called the "Distric~") has acted to ca1Z a
special bond elsction to be held in the District on Tuesd.ay, Vov-
ember 5, 197~+~ a-rzd has reques~ed the Board of Supervisors of
Butte County (herei.nafter called the "County") to orde~ the consol-
idation of said special bond e~.ection with t~e State of California
General Election to be held ~.n tne State of Cal.ifornia and a.n the
County on Tuesday, November 5, 1g'7~-, and has further authorized the
Board of Supervisors of the Coun~;y to canvass or cause ~a be canvas-
sed the returns of said speca.al bond election;

of Buf;t~ County~ as follows:
Section 1. The specza.I. bond election to be held in the
Distric~ on ~u.esday, November 5, 197LE, at tahich there shall. be sub-
mitted ~o the qualified electors o~' the Dastrict, the following m~a-
sure~ to wi~:
MEASURE ( ): Shall Xuba County
(New York Flat Water District incur
tidater Project) a bonded indebtedness
in the suzn of ~~~000,000
for the purnose of the acquisition, constructi.on
and comple~ion. oi' the IVew York Flat Water Project,
comprising a dam and reservoir on New York Creek~
in the vicinity of Neti~r York F'lat~ for Yuba County
Water District~ ~ogether with related access road-
i~rays and main can.als and la~era]. canals and neces-
sary l~.nds and easemenGs therefbr; and other works,
properties or structures nacessary or conveni~nt
for a dam az~d reservoir on New York Creek~ in the
vicinity o#' Ne~r Xo-rk F1at ~ for ~he ~uba County Water

shall be~ and the same is hereby ordered ~o be, consolidated with
tlie State of Calif'ornia General ~lec~ion ~o b~ held throughouf; the
State of Ca~.ifornia, including the County and the District, on
Tuesday, November 5, 1974. The respective portions o~' each of the
Bu~~e County general election precincts located wholly or partiall.y
witliin the District, and comprising in sum the entire area of the
District in Butte County nave been established as special bond
elec~ion precincts, comprising in sum. the entire area of the Dis-
trict in Butte Co~ar3.ty.
S:ection 2. The returns of said special bond election
sha11 be canvassed or caused to be canvassed by the Board of Super-
visors a~' the County in accordance with the request of the llistrict
and said special bond election and said General. E1.ection shall be
held wi~h~.n the District in all respects as though th~re were only
orie'electxon. Said measure hereinabove set forth shall be set forth
in eacl~ form of ~ballo~ to be used at said election insofar as the
same is held with~.n the Ais~rict. The returns of said specia~. bond
e~ection9 ti~rhen canvassed~ shall be reported by the Board of Super-
visors of' the County to the Da.stric~.
Section 3. The County Cler.k is hereby ordered and directed
to provide within the District the election precincts~ polling places
and vo~Ling booths fo-r each of said elections so consolidated, t~rhich
in each case shall be the same, and there shall be only one set of
elaction officers in each of sa~.d precincts. The County C1erk is
hereby further ordered and dx~ec~ed ~o pra.nt upon each of the balloEs
to be used at said consolidated General Election and special bond
election said measure hereinabove set fbrth. ~'he Couz~~y Clerk is
furt~er orde-red and di-rected (i) to set forth on allsample ballots
re:lating to said consolidated elections~ to be mai~.ed to tkze qualified
electors of the District, said measure hereinabove set forth and to
mail with said sample ballots to said electors printed copies of a

tax rate statemen~ and arguments (zf' any} ior and against said
measure, and (ii) ~o provide absent voter ballots for said GeneraZ
Election and said special bond election consolidated there~aith for
use by the qua~i~ied electors of the District who may be enti~led
thereto, in the manner provided by lat~ro The Coun~y CZerk is fur~her
authorized ~o charge the District the additional expense of printing
upon the sample and official ballots for use in the District saad
measure hereinabove set forth to be submitted to ~the qualified
elec~ors of the -istrict at said consolidated elections, and such
other inciden~al expenses as may be incurred by reason of this order
of consolidation.
