B~ IT EtESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors o~' the Couxzty of
Bu~te, State of Ca.lifornia, that said Boa.rd f'~.nds and determines and
hereby declares, as fol~.ows, to wit:
1. Thai, publ.ic interest and necessity require the acquisi-
~;ion, cons~ruc~ion and compl.e~ion by the County of Butte, of a public
improvement, namely, a County building to be knotian as the Gridley
Cour~house Annex in the County af Butte, State of Ca1i~'ornia.
2. That public interest and necessity require the acquisition
for said improvement of the real property, or intexest ~.n ~he real prop-
erty herea.nafter. desc.ribed, together will all improveznents si~tuate
~r~ereon, and it hereby f'ound and determined tha~ the construction of a
county building is a public use, authorazed by la~~r, and that public
intcx~est and necessity require the construction oi said improvemen~s
and the acquisita.on of sa~d rea~ property hereinafter described~ and
all impxovements sztuate thereon.
3. Said proposed public improvement is pla.nned and located
in a manner which will be mos~ compatible tF,ith the greates~ pub2ic good
and the least public injury.
ZF. That tne Coun~y Counsel of the County oi Bu~te is he~eby
autl~orized and empo,Gered as io11o~,Ts:
(a) lo acquire9 iz~. the name of the County o~ But~e, a. fee
simple estate or such necessary ini,erests in and to the h~reinafter
describecl rea1. property, or int~erest in real proper~y, ancl all improve-
ments thereon by condemnation in accordance ~~,rith the pzovisions of

Code of Civil Proce~ur~ and the Constitution of the Sta~e or California,
relating to eminent domain, to authorize the auditor to pa.y from cou~ty
funds ~he costs and consideration ~or such acquisition, and the auditor
is authorized to make such payment on au~horization.
(~} ~o prepar~ and prosecute ior the Coun.ty of Butte
such procee~ings in th2 proper court having jurisdiction therenf, and
make such deposits from County funds ~or fees and costs as are necessary
~or such acquisition.
(c) To make ~eposit of such security out oz proper funds
under the con~rol of the Coun~y of' ~utte~ in such amounts as fixed and
det~rmined and in such manner as sa~d court in which condemnation pro-
cee~ings are psndzng may direct, and the Auditor is authorized to make
said deposit immed~ately upon the court making an order.
5. That real property, or interest in real property, and/or
improve~ents thereon, which the County of Butte is, by this resolution~
au~l2orized to acquire for said public improvements in fee simple, is
situate in the County of Butte, Sta~e of California, more particular~y
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and ma.de a part hereof by
re~'erence as i~ set f'orth in fu11.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Sunervisors of the County
of Butte, State of Ca.lifornia, this 17~rh ~ay of Se tember ,
