Home My WebLink About74-142Resolufion No. 7~+~ ~.4z RESOLUTTON SUPPORTING AREAWIDE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PLANNING PROJECT WH~REAS, the people o#' Butte County must be ensured compre- henszve emergency medical services of the ha.ghest quality, an.d WH~REAS, the energency medical needs and resources of Butte Coun~y must be assessed, and a comprehensive plan fbr the optimum utilization of all avaa.l.able emergency medical serv~.ces resov.rces must be developed and zmplemen~ed to ensur~ tY~e del~.very of necessary and appropriate emergency medical services to the people of Butte County, and WHEREAS, the availabiJ.a.ty of emergency medical sexvices, including hospital.-based emexgency depar~ments, ambulances, communi- cations facilities and equipmen~ and hi.ghly skilled emergency meda.eal care personnel depends, ~.n part~ upon cooperation wzth and suppor~ of emergency medical services planning and development in adjoining counties~ and WHEREAS, the United S~ates Congress enac~ed Publ.ic Law 93-~5~+ in order to provide assistax~ce and encouragemen~ for the plan- nzng and developmen~ of compr~hensive emergency medical services sys~ems, and WHEREAS, the Superior Californza Comprehensive Health P~an- ning Association is wil~ing to prepare an application f'or public funds for emergency medical services pl.annxng and development under Section 1202 of Public Law 93-~5~- on behalf of Butte Coun~y and others, to be submitted to the Department of Health, Education and Welfare ? Washington, D.C., and ~ i _ WHE~iEAS, the public funds ~hat wottld be provided by the Departmen't of Health, Education and Welfare, Washington, D. C. for emergency medxcal services planning and development need not be ma'tched by any local public funds.
