RESOLUTION AUTHORIZZNG PTLING OF CLAIM WITH THE STATE OF CALI~'ORNZA,
PURSUANT TO Cf-tAPTER 1334 OF TI-IE STATUTES OF 1965, SECTION 987b OF THB
PHNAL CODE, ITEM I~O. 365 OF THE BUDGET ACT OF 1966~ AND APPOTNTTNG A3V
AUTHOAIZED AGENT THEREFOR
WHEREAS, Chapter 1334 of the Statu~es of 1965, Section 987b af the Penal Code,
Item No. 365 of the Budget Act of 1966, authorizes the State to pay to the County
an a~nount not to exceed ten percent of the amount annually budgeted by the County
in providing counsel in accordance with the law, whether by public defendex or by
assigned counsel or both, for persons chaxged with vioJ.ati.on of state criminal
law who desire, but are unable to afford counsel~ and
WHEREAS, the County desires to apply for the maximum amount payable ~ander
said law; and
WHEREAS, previously appointed agent authorized to fale ap~lications on
behalf of the County is no longer an officer of the County;
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWSs
1. That W. R. LAWRENCE is appointed the authoxized agent of the County for
the purpose of filing any applica-~ion on behalf of the County with the State for
rei~bursement pursuant to the aforesaid chaptex.
2. That he shall fuxnish such information, forms, and records to the State
as the la~ter €nay require and otherwise cooperate with the State for the purpose
of expedi-Ei.ng payment of State funds to the County? pursuant to the aforesaid
chapter.
3. That all County officers and employees are directed to cooperate with
said authorized agent for the purpose of facilitating the application to the
State and the receipt of State funds purs~aant thereto.
The foregoing resolution was introduced by Supervisor Cameron , who
moved its adoption~ seconded by Supervisor Gilman ~ and said resolu~ion

was passed this 19th day of November, 1974, on roll call by the following
votes:
