RESOLU`Z'ZON OF INTENTION TO dRDER CHANGES IN WORK
(Streets ancl Highways Code Section 5236)
RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ~UPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA:
That in i~s opinion the pub~ic ix~,-~erest and con-
venience require changes in. the work described in the fo].low.ing
Resolutions o~' tl~.is Boarcl for Skyway Assessmen-E Distric-~ No. 1:

adopted April 23, 1974
Th.at it is ~the intention of this Board to order the
work and improvements for Skyway Assessmen-~ Di.strict No. 1
changed as fo].lows:
Ck~.ange alignmen~t and grad.e of stoz^~- d.rainage facil.ities a-t
the following EngineerEs Stations: 28+00 to 33+34, 1g+05
to 1gf87, 632+76 ~0 633+31, 674+83, 676±26, 729+~o to 730+
53, 620+07, 707+5~, 683-~85, 15+65, 13+73; change alignmemt
and grade pf sanitaxy sewer faciliti~s a-t th.e fol~owing
Engineer~s S-Eations: 614+77, 621+55, 649+30, 69~9.~-10, 674+
83, 677+37; reloca-~e existing water serva.ce a-~ Engineer~s
Station 13f80 to ~~+40; reinforce and thicken concre-~e
energy disapator a'~ Engineer's Station 35+20, a11 as shown
on. A.mended Plans, Skyway Assessment Dis~trict No. l, dated
October 7, 1974.
That -this Board finds and de~termines that each of
the places a.z~.d rights o~ way where said cYa.anged work wi11 be
perform.ed is a necessary place or right of way for dozn.g said
changed work and ~tha-~ it is th.e inten-~ion of -this ~oard to
order tha~ the Coun~ty o~' Butte acquire each of said places and

righ~s o~ way ~hat the County of Bu~te does not now own and ~hat
i~ is the intention of this Board to assess the cost of acquiring
each of them, including the cost o~ incidental expenses ~nereof,
as a part o~ the cost of said changed work.
Tha~ ~he work described in said changes shall be
done pursuant ~o Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code,
the Improvement Act o~ 1911, and shaiZ be of ~h~ sizes, dimen-
sions, materia3s and in the positions and locations and to the
grades as showt~ and described upon and a~~ in accordan.ce with
.~/ the plans approved by this Board on , 1974,
and now on ~ile in the office of the C1erk of this Board.
That serial bonds ~o represent the unpaid assess-
ments for the cost of said work and improvements de~cribed
in said Resolution as increased by the changes herein desc~ibed,
shall be issued in the same form, and for the same time, and
in -~he same manner that are described in said Resolution No.
74-39.
That -this Board hereby es-~xmates that -~he cost of
said cha~n.ges and ~he tota~. xnc~ease in the estimated cos-~ of
said work and improvements as changed are as fal~.ows:

That ~this Board hereby determines tha~t said increase
in the cost of -~he work will incr~as~ ~he ~s'tima~ted cos-t of
said work from ~377,174.60 , the es-~imated cos-~ ~hereof, ~to
~384,850.7.8 , the new estimated cost thereo~.
That the cost of said changes and the incidental
e~enses therefore sha~.1 be assessed as an add.itional part of
the costs and expenses of tlze public improvemen.t work described

in the resolutions, the ~itles of which are set out in the first
paragraph of this resolution, and tha~ ~he lands to be assessed
~or the costs and e~enses of said changes are the same lands
~hat are described in ~the Resolution of Intention above re~erred
to, except as changes in the boundaries of said lands may be
o~dered after ~he date nereof.
That this Board, acting pursuant to Streets and High-
ways Code, Section 5236, finds an.d determines tna-~ the -~ota~.
amount of the original con~ract price for the public improvement
work described in, said Resolutiona 74-39 and 74-62 is the swn of
$37'7,174.60 , based upon the Engineer~s estimate o~ quantities
o~ the work and. the contractor's bid prices and finds and c~eter-
m.ines that construction has begun upon the p~blic improvemen.t
work described in said Resolution.s and here'by finds and de~erm.ines
that the net amoun-t of said changes is an increase in ~he sum of
'$7,675.58 and that said sum d.oes not exceed -~he lesser of the sum
of ~~0,400.00 or 5/ o~ said original contrac-~ price and that this
Board there~ore determines to order the changes described in this
resolu~ion without the necessity o# a pubJ.ic lnearing thereon.
