California
WHEREAS the Sheri£f of Butte County desires to undertake a certa~n
project designated Region C Narcotics and Intelligence Task Force to be
funded in part from ~unds mad~ available through the Omnibus Crime Control
and Safe Streets Act of i968, PL 90-355, as amended, PL 91-644, (herea£ter
referred to as the Safe Streets Act) administered by the Cali£ornia Council
on Criminal Justice (hexeafter referred to as CGCJ)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Sheriff of the County o£ Butite
was authorized, on its behalf, to submit the attached Application for Grant
for ~aw Enfoxcement Purposes to CCCJ and is authorized to execute on behalf
of the County of Butte the attached Grant Award Contract for law enforcement
purposes including any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ap~licant agrees to provide all match~
ing funds required for said projecti (including any extension or amendment
thereof) under the:$afe Streets Act and the rules and regulations of CCCJ
and the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration and that cash will be ap-
propriated as required thereby.
BE TT PURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not
be used to supplant on-going 1aw en£orcement expenditures
