WHEREAS, a purchase ag~eement has been prepared whieh
wou~d fulfilz the County's purpose in this regard~ sai.d agreement
being attached hereto as E~ibi~ "~" and hereby ~.ncorporated

NOW~ 'I~iEI3EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The County Adm3nistrative Officer is authorized to
exe~ute said agreement on behal.f of the County of Butte.
2. The Gounty Administrative Officer is authorized to
execizte all other docvments necessary to acquire for the(bunty
the property being purehased pursu.ant to the aforesaid agreement.

a political subdi.va.sion af the State of California, as Purchaser,
1N I T N E S S E T H:
In consideration of the gr~.nt deed to be delivered to the AIID
VALLEY TITLE COb1P~VY, escrow agent for the County of Butte, covering
the hereinafter-described property, and the other consideratians here-
inaf'~er set forth, it is mutually agreed as folloms:
(1) T~ie parties have herein set forth -the whole of their agreeraent.
The performance of this agreement canstitutes the entire con-
sideration for said document and shall xelieve the County of all
:. ~: furtlier obligations or c~:aims on this account.
(2) Unpaid taxes existing as a lien against the descrihed parce2 tiaill
be pro-ra~ed and cancelled in accordance with the Provi.szons of
Section 4986, paragrap3i 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Cod.e. Pre-
paid taxes will be pro-rated and refi~nded by the County in accor-
dance wi,th Section 5096.7 of the Revenue and Taxation Code.
(3) The Owner shall pay aIi norma-l escro~v fees incurred in this
trans acti.on .
(4) It is further agreed that the Owner of the herein-described
parcel shall xetazn possession until close of escrow, inclusive.
(5) The County shall deposa.t in escrow the suni of FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($44,000.00) as purchase pra.ce fox the hereinafter-described
parcei of land and improvements thereon. County s]la1Z instruct
the above-mentioned title companv to pay this sum when said title
company can record a good and valid deed to the property described
' herein.
(6) Qwnex shall furnish title insurance covering the hereinafter-
descra.bed property in an amount equal to the fu11 purchase przce.
(7) Tl~e sale of t31is property is subject to the approval o~ a use
pErmit for the utilization o~ the property as a branch of the
13uttc County library. ~
(8) It is further agree~. that the escro~~r shaJ.l close on or before
Friday, January 31, 1975.
