DETERMINZNG PUBLIC GO~IVENIENCE A,ND NECESSITY TN
FIRLAND ACRES ASSESSMENT I1IST,l2ICT, COUNTY OF BUTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNTA
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors o£ the County of Butte,
State of Caiifornia, has adop~ed a map showing the boundaries of pro-
posed Firl.and Acres Assessment District, County of Butte, State of
California, which said map is entitled, "Praposed Boundaries of
Firland Acres Assessment Aistrict, County of Butte, State of Ca~i-
fornia;" and
WHEREAS, the owners of more than sixty per cent (60~} o£
the real property within the boundaries o£ said proposed assessment
district have filed a petition requestinq the improvements and acqui-
sitions described therein and have waived a1i investigativn proceed-
ings under the Special assessment Tnvestigation, Limitation and Major-
ity Protest Act of 1931 and have requested that said Act shall not
be applicable to these proceedings; ~
NOW, THEREFQRE, B~ IT RESOZ~7ED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State ot California, as follows:
l. That TuESday; the lath day of February, 1975, at the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M, o£ said day, is hereby fixed as the day
and hour, and the meeting place of the Board of Supervisors of tk-e
County of Butte located in the Butte County.Courthouse, 1859 Bird,
Oroville, Califqrnia, as the piace, when and where any and a11 persons
interested may appear anc3 sho~a cause why the Board of Supervisors
~ should not fi.nd and determine that the public convenience and neces-
sity require the said proposed improvements and acquisitions to be
made in said proposed assessment district, without compliance with

the provisians of the Special Assessment Investiqation, Limita~ion
and Majority Protest Act of 193I.
2. The County Clerk of the County of Butte is hereby direc~ed
to give notice of the time and place of said hearing in the follow-
ing manner:
By publishing a Notice o£ Improvement, said
publication to be not ~ess than ten {1Q) days .
prior to the date of said hear~ng;
By posting a copy of the Plotice of Improvement
at or nEar the place of ~eeting of the Board
of Su~ervisors for ~ive (5) days prior to the
time of said hearinq.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoin~ resolution was duly
and regularl~ adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County o.f
Butte, State af California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on
the 30th day of December, 1974, by the following vote, to wit:
