ORDINANCE NO. 717
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER Iir SECTION 8
AND SECTION 9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 467, KNOti1TN AS
THE COUNTY CODE
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of Californiat do ordain as follows:
1. That Chapter IIr Section 8 of Ordinance No. 467,
known as County Coder is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 8. REGUTAR MEETINGS OF THE BOARD Off' SUPERVISORS
Regular meetings of the Board of Supervisors shall be held on
Tuesday of each weekr at 9:00 A.I.; provided, howeverr that
when Tuesday falls on a legal holiday or when the Board
determinesr by a majority vote, to dispense with one or more
meetings or change the time thereof, then the Board shall
announce at a regular meeting preceding the holiday or change,
the date and time of the next regular meeting.
2e That Chapter IIr Section 9 of Ordinance No. 467r
known as_County Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 9 SP};CiAL:.:MEETING OF' :THE BOARD.,O~' SUPERVISORS.
A special meeting may be ordered by a majority of the Board of
Supervisors or the Chairman. The order shall be signed by the
members calling the meeting or the Chairman and entered in the
minutes. Twenty-four (24) hours notice of the meeting shall be
given by the Clerk personally or by mail to the members not joinin
in the order. The order shall specify the business to be transact
at the special meeting and no other business shall be transacted.
This ordinance amending Ordinance No. 467 shall take
effect thirty (30) days after the passage of the same, and
shall become operative on the 1st day of August, 1962r and before
the expiration of fifteen (15) days after such passage, this
ordinance shall be published with the names of the members
voting for and against the same, at least once in the
Chico Enterprise _ a newspaper published in the County

2 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
3 County of Butte, State of Californian on the 11th day of Juner
4 1962, by the following vote:
5 AYES: Supervisors Giles, Pittman, Pryde, St°inegger and
Chairman Alldredge

7 ABSENT: None
