HomeMy WebLinkAbout75-0167~'-16 R~SOLUTIOA7 OF THE BOARn OF S'U'PER~7'ISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE STATE OF CALIFORNIA REGARDII~G THE MODEL MODULAR COUNTY EDP SXSTENI ~ WHEREAS, there is an urgent need for uniformity in the processing o~' data by and for the County, State and Federai Governznents regard- ing welfare operations and administration; and WHEREAS, elec~ronic data equipment is the most efficient means of processing such data; and WHET2EAS, independent develnpment of data proaessa.ng systems by each county is costly, time consuming, and creates a lack of unifnrm- ity; and Tr1HEREAS, ~he requirement for unifarm, flexible and transfe~rable systems has been recognized by State and Gounty Welfa~e and Data P~ocessing agencies; and Wi3EREAS, Butte County has provided an employee for participation in the statewide task force to define the needs, e~raluate existing systems, develop and implemen~. a model modular county EDP system; N~Gr7, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this baard endorse and support the efforts of this task ~'orce by urging its continuation; and LET IT BE F`URTHER RESOLVED that Bu~te County provide its resources ~or use as a pa.lot courzty for the implementation o~ a model modu~ar county EDP system.
