WHE~tEAS, this Board was grieved to learn. of ~he
death a~ CHARLES P: CANIPB~T~T,, retired state forest ranger; and
WHEREAS, CHARLES P. CAMPBEZL served the CaJ.ifornia
Forestry in Butte County with distinction and with unsel~i.sh devotion
~r 12 years ; an.d
WHEREAS, CHARLES P. CAMPBELL, was acti.ve in several
oraanizations, including the Masonic Lodge; the E1ks I~odge in Paradise;
he was a member of the Cattlemans Association; he was a~nember and
one o~ th.e founders of the Calitornia Rura1 Firemans Association.
He also sexved as a member of the Butte County Fire Chie~s Associarion
and tk~e National Fire Protection Association.
NOW, THEREFO~, BE T'T RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Californ~.a, as follows:
1. That said Board hereby memorializes a.ts
appreciation of the meritorious services
rendered Co Che California Forestry Division
and Ck~.e County of Bt~tte by CIiARLES P. CAMPBELL
during his lifetime.
2. Thae the condolences and heartfelt sympathy of
this Board be extended to his wife Bernice, and
that the clerk of this Board forward a certi.fied
copy of this resolution to her.
3. Tha~ the regular meeting of this Board heZd on
the 25tk~. day of March, 1975, be adjov.rned in
memory' o~ CHARLES P. CAMPBELL.
