EtESO~UTION AUTHORIZING GRANT APPLICATION
WHEREAS the Sherift of Butte County desires to undertake
a certain project designated Regional Communications Program to be
tunded in part trom funds made available through the Omnibus Crime
Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90T355, as amended, PL 91-644,
(hereafter referred to as the Safe Streets Act) administerec3 by the Calif-
ornia Council on Criminal Justice (h.ereafter referred to as CCGJ).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ~haC ~he Ca~unications
Ot~icer of the Caunty of Butte is authorized, on its behalf, to
submit the attached Application for Grant for Lanr Enforcement Purposes
to CCCJ and is aufihorized to execute on behalf of the County of Butte
the attached Granfi Award Contract for law enforcement purposes
including any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the app~ication agrees to provide
all matching funds required for saicl project (including any ex~ension
or amendment thereof) under the Safe Streets Act and ehe rules and
regulations of CCCJ and the Law Enforcement Assisrance Administration
and that cash will be appropriated as required ~herebq.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tha~ gran~ funds received hereunder
sha11 not be used to supp7.ant on-going 1aw enforcement expenditures.
