RESOLUTIOi~T OF INTENTION T4 ESTABLISH"COUNTY SERVICE AREA
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 3, Division 2, Part 2, Chapter
3 of the Government Code of the State of California, ~the Boazd of
Supervisors of Sutte County have instituted proceedings for the
establishment of a coun.ty service area witYrin the County of Butte, and
WHE~,AS, the LOCA~ AGENCY FORMATION COM1`~IISSION of the County
of Butte has approved the es~ablishment of said Service Area No. 55.
NOW, THEREFORE, B~ IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That a county service area is proposed to be estabZished
under the terms of the aforesaid chapter in the unincorporated area
of Butte County; the bou~.dary lines of the territories proposed ~or
iz~.clusion in the area are more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and ~-ade a part hereof by reference as though fully
set ~orth verbatim and at len.gth.
2. That the pxoposed name for said county service area
is County Serva.ce Area No. 55.
3. That there are no extended. county services prova:ded
in this area.
4. That the type of exrended services proposed to be:
provided is structural fire protection services.
5. That an election wil7. be called to establish a
maximum property tax rate within the area which is sufficient to
provide for a tax to pay for such services t~rhich are furnished on
an extended basis, such tax to be annually levied upon al1 taxable
property within this area.
6. That on August Z9 , 1975, at 11:00 a.m.,
a public hearing wi11. be held on tlze establishznent of said area.

visors this 15th ~ay o~ July, 1975, by the follow~ng vote:
AYES• Supervisors Cameron, Richter, Madigan, McKillop and Chairman Ladd
