ItESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COTJI3TY SERVICE A.REA TO BE
EN'FITLED "COUNTY SERVICE AREA NQ. 55"
(Government Code §§25210.1 et seq.)
WHEREAS, heretofore, on the 15th day of .7uly , 1975,
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Calif_ornia,
adopted and passed a Resolution of Intention to Establish County
Service Area to be entitled "COUNTY SERVICE AREA N0. 55", and
WHEREAS, said Resolution fixed the 19th day of August, 1975,
at 11:00 a.m. of said day, in the Board of Supervisors Room of the
Butte County Administration Bui.lding, Oroville, State of California,
as the time and place for the public hearzng on th.e establishment
of said area, and
WHEREAB, said Board, at said time and pJ.ace, proceeded to
hear argumen~s both for and against the establishment of said area,
and
WIIEREAS, no written. pzotests againsr the establishment
thereof were filed in accordance with §25210.17 of' the Government
Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 12ESOT~VED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Sutte, State of California, as ~ollows:
1. That sai.d Board hereby finds and determines that proceedings
herein were cox~.ducted pursuant to §25210.1 et s~. of the GovernmenC
Code, and that publication and notices were given puzsuant ~hereto,
and that said Board finds and determines that the extent to which
the services described in the Resolution of Intention are extended
County services;
2, That th.e boundaries of said servi.ce area are hereby fina7.ly
de;t:~rmineel and established as the same as are shown on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, and incorporated herein by reference and made a
part of this resolution.

3. That the name of said proposed servzce area is "COUNTY
SERVIGE AREA N0. 55".
4. That the type o~ extended county services to be proYrided
within said area is structural fire protection services.
5. An election is hereby called and ordered eo be held in
the proposed service area on Tuesday, the 4th day of November ,
I975 for the purpose of determining whethe~c said service area sha11
be organized and formed with the boundaries as above se~ forth, and
submitted to the qualified electors o~ and within said proposed
community services area shall be the followi.ng proposition:
"Shall the Community Services Area Number 55 be
formed under the Community Services klrea T~aCa as propo5ed
with a maximum tax rate for the area of $.25 per $100
assessed valuation.
"
6. The election shall be held and con.ducted by the County and.
the ballots canvassed in accardance w~th the provisions of Article 1
(commencing with §3700) of Ctcapter 2, Division 4 of the Election~Gode.
7. I~ the majority of the voCes cast at the election is in
favox of forming the service area and establishing a maximum tax rate
in the serviee area, the Board of Supervisors shall, by resoiution
entered in its minuCes, deciare the service area established under
the Community Service Area_Law, giving the narne of the servzce area;
the purposes for ~ahich it is formed, describing its boundara~es and the
maximt~€m tax rate esrablished in the area.
