HomeMy WebLinkAbout75-132WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Sutte intends to consider a proposal for annexation of the territory hereinafter described to County Service Area No. 24 and desires to initiiaCe a proceeding for said annexation pursuant to the District Reorganization Act, beginning with Section 56000 of the Government Code; and WF~EREAS, prior to adoption of a resolution by the Board of Supervisars initiating annexation proceedings it is necessary to apply to the Butte County Local Agency Pormation Commission for its review and approval or disapproval o£ Che proposed annexation. Now, therefore, be it resolved and ordered by the Butte County Board of Supervisors as follows: 1. Application and a proposal is hereby made to the Sutte County Locai Agency Formation Co~nmission for the annexation of certain terriCOry to County Service Area No. 24 pursuant to the District Reorganization Ac~, begi~ning with Section 56000 of the GovernmenC Code. 2. The proposed change of organization is for the annexation of territory lying within the boundaries o€ the City o£ Chico to County Service Area No. 24. 3. The territory to be annexed has been deemed to be inhabited and the exterior boundaries of such territory are described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference. 4. The reason for this proposal is to include terrztory ~ound to be benefxting from the installation, operaCion, and maintenance of the Chico, Mud, and Sandy Gulch Flood Control ProjecC, as heretofore constructed by the Corp of Engzneers, U.S.A, and the Sacramento and San ~oaquin Drainage DistricC, acting by and through the Reclamation Board of the State of California. 5.
