HomeMy WebLinkAbout75-133WHEREAS, the Board o€ Supervisors of the County of Butte intends to consider a proposal £or detachment o~ territory hereznatter descrxbed from County Service Area No. 24 and desires to initiate a proceeding for said annexation pursuant to the District Reorganization Act, beginning with Section 56000 of the Government Code; and WHEREAS, prior to adoption o€ a resolution by tihe Board of Supervisors initiating detachment proceedings it is necessary to apply Co Che Butte County Loca1 Agency Formation Commission for its review and approval or disapproval of the proposed detachment. Now, therefore, be it resolved and ordered by the Butte County Board of Supervisors as follows: 1. Application and a proposal is hereby made to the Butte County Loca1 Agency Formation Commission for the detachment of certain territory from County Service Area No, 24 pursuant to the District Reorganization Act, beginning with Section 56000 of the Government Code. 2. The nature of the proposed change of organization is for the detachment of certain territorq from Countq Service Area No. 24 lying within the boundaries oE Che City o£ Chico. 3. The territory proposed to be de~ached £rom County Service Area No. 24 has been deemed to be inhabited and the exterior boundaries of said territory are described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference. G. The reason for said proposal is to detach certain territory within the incorporated limits of the City of Chico that has been found to be included and benefiting from Maintenance Area No. 5 established by the Sacramento and San Joaqufn Drainage Uistrict, acting by and through the Reclamation Board of the State of California in connection wzth the Little Chico Creek-Butte Creek Aiversion. 5. The Clerk of the Board is authbrized and directed to file a 7~-/33 RESOLUTTON MAKING APPLICATION TO LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION FOR DETACHMENT OF TERRITORY FROM COUNTY SERVICE AREA N0. 24 certifzed copy o£ this resolution with the Executiive Officer of the Butte County Local Agency For~ation Commission.
